These Terms of Service explain the terms that apply when you use the website, request service, or purchase computer repair, remote support, diagnostic, setup, malware removal, data backup, data recovery assistance, or related technology services from Savvy Computer Solutions.

Please read these terms carefully. By using our website, booking a service, approving an estimate, dropping off a device, or receiving support, you agree to these terms.

1. Who We Are

In these terms, “Savvy,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Savvy Computer Solutions.

Contact: info@makeitsavvy.ca | 647.287.4903 | 71 First Ave., Uxbridge, Ontario, Canada, L9P 1J8

2. Services Provided

We provide computer repair and technology support services, which may include diagnostics, troubleshooting, device setup, hardware repair, software support, malware removal, data backup assistance, data recovery assistance, remote support, network support, and related services.

The exact services provided will depend on the customer request, the device condition, technician availability, parts availability, and any estimate or service approval.

3. Estimates, Diagnostics, and Approvals

Some problems cannot be fully diagnosed until work begins. Any initial estimate is based on the information available at the time and may change if we discover additional issues.

If paid work beyond an agreed estimate is needed, we will seek your approval before proceeding where practical. Diagnostic fees, minimum service fees, travel fees, remote support fees, or inspection fees should be confirmed before service begins.

Applicable fees vary by scope and service.

4. Customer Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

5. Backups and Risk of Data Loss

Computer repair involves risk. Data may be lost, corrupted, overwritten, deleted, or become inaccessible during diagnostics, repair, malware removal, software updates, hardware failure, drive failure, operating system repair, or data transfer.

You are responsible for backing up your data before service unless you specifically request backup service and we agree to provide it. Even when backup service is requested, no backup or data transfer can be guaranteed to capture every file or restore every setting.

6. Device Passwords, Encryption, and Access

Some repairs require access to your device, operating system, software, cloud account, encryption key, or recovery key. If access is needed, you agree to provide the access reasonably required to perform the requested service.

We recommend using temporary passwords where possible and changing passwords after service is complete. We are not responsible for delays or service limits caused by missing passwords, locked accounts, encryption, forgotten recovery keys, or unavailable account owners.

7. Data Recovery Disclaimer

Data recovery is not guaranteed. The success of data recovery depends on the device condition, drive health, file system damage, encryption, prior repair attempts, overwritten data, malware damage, and other factors outside our control.

Attempting recovery may involve scanning, copying, moving, or transferring files. In some cases, further attempts may reduce the chance of recovery. We may recommend a specialist recovery provider if the issue is beyond the scope of our services.

8. Malware, Security, and Software Limitations

Malware removal, cleanup, security review, updates, and configuration services are intended to reduce risk. They do not guarantee that a device, account, network, or system will be completely secure or remain free from malware, unauthorized access, scams, phishing, or future problems.

Some software problems may be caused by third-party updates, unsupported systems, expired licenses, incompatible hardware, user settings, corrupted files, or vendor issues outside our control.

9. Parts, Hardware, and Third-Party Products

Repairs may require parts, hardware, accessories, software, subscriptions, or third-party services. Parts may be new, used, refurbished, aftermarket, or manufacturer-supplied depending on availability and customer approval.

Third-party products and parts may be subject to separate manufacturer, vendor, or supplier warranties. We are not responsible for manufacturer defects, vendor delays, discontinued parts, unavailable updates, or third-party policy changes.

10. Service Warranty

Unless a specific warranty is provided in writing, services are provided on a best-effort basis, and outcomes are not guaranteed.

11. Payment Terms

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due when services are completed, when an invoice is issued, or before a device is returned. We may decline to release a device or complete additional work until outstanding amounts are paid, where permitted by law.

12. Cancellations, Missed Appointments, and Abandoned Devices

Cancellations or delays by the customer may delay service and/or lead to additional charges. Savvy reserves the right to charge for travel and time spent on missed appointments as permissible by applicable law.

If a device is not picked up or paid for after repeated contact attempts, we may handle it according to applicable law.

13. Remote Support Terms

Remote support requires your authorization and cooperation. During a remote session, we may view or control your device to perform the requested service.

You are responsible for closing private files, accounts, windows, and programs that are not related to the service. Remote support depends on your internet connection, device condition, account permissions, and availability.

We may stop or refuse remote support if we believe the request is unsafe, unlawful, abusive, technically impractical, or outside the agreed service.

14. Customer-Provided Software, Licenses, and Accounts

You are responsible for ensuring that all software, operating systems, accounts, subscriptions, files, and data you ask us to install, access, repair, transfer, or configure are legally owned or properly licensed.

We do not knowingly install pirated software, bypass licensing requirements, defeat security controls, access accounts without authorization, or assist with unlawful activity.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Savvy Computer Solutions will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost revenue, lost business, lost data, lost use, loss of goodwill, or business interruption.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for a service is limited to the amount paid by you for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

Some consumer protection laws may not allow certain limitations. Nothing in these terms is intended to limit rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.

16. No Guarantee of Outcome

We work carefully and professionally, but we cannot guarantee that every device can be repaired, every issue can be diagnosed, every file can be recovered, every virus can be removed, every system can be made secure, or every software problem can be resolved.

17. Acceptable Use and Unlawful Material

You agree not to use our website or services for unlawful, harmful, abusive, fraudulent, or unauthorized purposes. We may refuse service if we believe a device, account, file, or request involves unlawful material, unauthorized access, exploitation, harassment, stolen property, malware distribution, or activity that could harm others.

18. Website Use

You may use our website for lawful personal or business purposes, such as learning about our services or contacting us. You may not attempt to damage, overload, scrape, reverse engineer, interfere with, or gain unauthorized access to our website, servers, forms, or systems.

19. Intellectual Property

Website content, branding, text, graphics, service descriptions, and other materials on this website are owned by or licensed to Savvy Computer Solutions unless otherwise stated. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or use our content for commercial purposes without permission.

20. Third-Party Links and Services

Our website or service communications may include links to third-party websites, tools, software vendors, payment providers, manufacturers, or cloud services. We are not responsible for third-party websites, products, services, warranties, policies, availability, or security.

21. Privacy

Our collection, use, and handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

22. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada. Any disputes will be handled in the courts or tribunals of Ontario, unless applicable consumer protection law requires otherwise.

23. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Your continued use of our website or services after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms, where permitted by law.
